We often hear complaints that we don’t do enough (any) show prep (mostly from Jeremie). Well, just to prove that we actually do do (heh) some show prep, here’s a show with absolutely none. Hear the difference?
We’re at Gangplank Studios (mentioned prominently in “Genius, Baby“), so we’re sharing 4 mics between 5 people and overloading the shit out of every one of them. Hence, the distorted 1975 “man on the street” audio quality.
In the studio, we have special guests Jeremy Tanner of Boulder, CO, and Owen JJ Stone of somewhere in south New Jersey who were both in town for PodCamp AZ. Brian Shaler and Jeremie Lederman round out the crew, attempting admirably–but ultimately in vain–to fill up the gaping hole where funny used to live.

Me: “We’re back (again).” Jeremie: “Uh. Against much advice, we’ve managed to produce yet another amazing episode. Wow. My brain’s dead. Enjoy not only the riveting episode, but the fantastic episode description. Drink your milk. In your room.”

Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain.
Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain.
The dark days are gone, and the bright days are here,
My sunny one shines so sincere.
Sunny one so true, I love you.
Not saying that Sunny is back or anything… just sayin’. We talk about stuff, including the heat, multiple firings, Stephanie (whom Sunny can’t remember until it’s too late and he’s already embarrassed himself), me playing guitar at Gangplank for Reopen Phoenix, and Betty and her hashblacks. Enjoy!
There was a slight technical glitch that interfered with the mirth. Here’s the video that didn’t quite work:
Also, here’s the other video that had us laughing so hard, but probably didn’t make you laugh, because you couldn’t see it:

It’s a diet (i.e. Shaler-free) show today. Apparently, he wisely decided to be in a different state during this mess. But, we missed him so much, we still felt the need to talk about him. A good portion of the show is us going about nothing of consequence (i.e. Perez Hilton [allegedly] getting deservedly punk-smacked by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas), as usual. Needless to say, Jeremie was really happy about zipping across the Valley to get to the studio on time for this one. While Trina and I snacked on delicious, garden-fresh yellow pear tomatoes, Jeremie repeatedly recoiled in horror. We make weird, possibly annoying noises. Then, Jeremie lays down the funny hammer with some hilarious talk about Iran.
Oh, and we wanted to remind everyone that PodCampAZ is coming up in November. For more info, check this out: http://podcampaz.org/are-your-ready-for-todays-blog-blast/.

A little treat for your cookie holes. (That’s good enough for us.)

Sorry for keeping y’all waiting. Everyone at EGR is going through personal stuff that has made scheduling another show very difficult. Please don’t leave us. We love you. We promise… we will never, ever hit you again. It’s just that… sometimes… daddy gets mad at mommy, and… anyway, to make it up to you, we submit this whimsical little piece, dedicated to our bestest buddy, Brian Shaler. Brian, please come back. EGR misses your musk.

Not like you cared, but we’re back after brief hiatus. Sorry ’bout that. We have a special guest in the studio this week, filling Jeremie’s ample socks. You’ll have to listen to figure out who it is. (I’ll give you a hint: his initials are–appropriately–B.S.) Sunny got pulled over by the man today, which provided us all with mirth. Sit a spell.
